Skydance Paramount Set to Remove Around 2,000 US Jobs – News
Skydance Paramount is scheduled to initiate mass layoffs beginning on 27 October, eliminating about 2,000 US jobs within a cost-cutting plan valued at $2bn under new chief executive David Ellison.
The workforce reduction come after the merger between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed in August with a value of $8.4bn.
Additional global layoffs are anticipated, with Paramount Skydance aiming to reveal all specifics via its Q3 financial results scheduled for November 10.
Earlier reports suggested the company aimed to eliminate between 2,000 and 3,000 roles before the start of November.
As of December 2024, the organization retained nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts plus 3,500 contract workers.
Paramount Skydance has not provided a response regarding the report.
